Evaluation

Evaluation

The idea was to create a video profile for myself to upload onto a blog I created. The video profile had to be about myself and include information such as my hobbies, inspirations, where and what I’m studying and other questions that were on a sheet given to me and then evaluate and compare my work to others to improve.

In the video profile instead of using a narration or voice over I decided to use a typewriter font page where the information was shown I felt that this would be easier to do as I wouldn’t have to play around with the sound controls and make a mistake and it would be less hassle using a page of writing is both a weakness and a strength it means that people who are hard of hearing or have trouble understanding the English language can benefit but it also becomes less personal and could be seen as ‘lazy’ or ‘sloppy’ work and could make the quality of the video profile poor.

My video profile is also very simple and basic; I kept the information bout me basic so the viewers can focus on the video clips and images on the video profile so the video has become more of a visual work.

Unfortunately one of the weaknesses of the video is that the music and audio clips needed to be adjusted as some parts were too loud for the video at some parts and completely unnecessary in others which I didn’t notice before also I noticed and others who have commented on my video profile that I could’ve had more variations of the shots of my face and generally more shots of me.

In conclusion I could’ve done better with my video profile but it’s good for a first project.
