Viral Marketing is a form of marketing techniques used to create brand awareness. A viral marketing video uses a short clip of animation or live action to advertise the brand for the social networking society.

Audi R8 "The Hostage"
In the advert a woman parks her car in an empty parking zone as she gets out of the car a man dressed in black walks past, a security guard then attempts to stop the man from leaving. the man points his gun at the Audi R8 and threatens to shoot if he is not let go, the guard complies and the man gets into a van and drives off.
The target audience for this advertisement would be people who can drive aged 21-45 are in middle or working class who can afford to buy cars or need to have cars to drive to work.
The video is seen on the video site of the digital platform, the video site is known as Youtube but it will also been seen on Television or on social networking websites.
The purpose of this video is to persuade the audience that they need this car and that they should purchase it the advert does this by describing the car as "Already a classic" which suggest to the audience that if they buy this car they will not need another one for a long time.
The image quality is of a high standard being filmed with a professional camera it's sound quality is clear and the editing uses back to back and cross cutting shots.
Cat herding
The advertisement starts with a young male adult talking to the camera about his great, great grandfather being the first ‘Cat herder’ in the family it then has a few small interviews with the other ‘cat herders’ and small clips of the everyday activities they have to do and what they face (E.g. rolling a ball of yarn, getting cats of the tree, getting scratched on the face)
The idea is that they herd cattle of cats instead of cows which is more difficult as there are more cats and more difficult to ‘herd’ the cats are suggested at being ‘ideas’ while the ‘cat herders’ are the EDS company that ‘round up’ the ideas.
The target audience for the advert would be potentional and existing business’.
The videos was shown at the Super Bowl 2000 and has gained nearly 1 million hits on youtube.

Fenton the dog.
The video starts of the user filming deer and then we start to hear a man yelling "FENTON, JESUS CHRIST" after his dog who has begun to chase after some deer. We watch as the video watches Fenton the dog chase after the deer and then Fenton's owner chase after him.

The video can be seen on youtube where it was uploaded from an android phone. It has gained more than 7 million hits on youtube and has been shown at Leeds and Reading.
Evolution of dance
The video is a performance by Judson Laipply performing all the most popular song and dances from each point in time that were 'in' such as Grease lightning and Vanilla ice in a time of six minuets. There is also a second video with different music and dance moves.
